EMMA HARDIE TESTS OUT ITS NEW LOOK
EMMA HARDIE – COUNTER TESTER UNIT, DEBENHAMS NEWPORT
BRIEF
To develop a stand alone on counter tester unit that was designed and bespoke in nature to fit within the existing Debenhams self select gondolas. Unit was to enhance the look of the product range and present the premium feel of the brand and its price point.
CHALLENGE
The unit has to fit within a small worktop space with solid back drop and illuminated header above for generic branding. The unit had to promote key lines, new products and promotions as well as give room for graphic imagery and clearly show the full range of products. All products would need a description and benefits clearly displayed.
SOLUTION
To enhance the existing products, the unit was designed to be clad in compatible colours of bronze, gold and browns, bringing in some texture to the main gold finish across the back drop of the unit. The focus area for promotions and key product line was also base illuminated to ensure they stood out from the range.
A slimline LED illuminated, easily accessible lightbox was designed as the back drop to the promotional area to enhance its impact and situated on the end of the unit facing the main customer flow.
The general stock holding areas were given height relief on different display blocks to create interest and below each product range, simple clear printed acetates were placed below the clear acrylic bases for customer education.
Against the predominately white fixturing of Debenhams own gondolas, the unit had great stand out within this department and gave the Emma Hardie brand a real jump on many of its skincare competitors within this store.
